The fearless feet
Upon the path
Beat.

Cares strewn upon the doorstep
The renunciation of dread

The welcome flow of ruby red
Uncoils the taught springs

The reverberation of laughter
Occupies our spangled space
The shiny cheek
The flushed face

The proximity of bodies
Of brushing past
Of random lines cast

Conversations overheard
Foreign emotions stirred

Secrets shared
Unimpaired

In the ascension of music
Rapture weaves its web
Binding its ambient audience
With a silken purple thread

The fearless feet
Have found their purpose
Sleep is a foreign place

The willing advocates
In the enchanted heat
The compliant slaves
To the compelling beat.
