The Puzzle


my broken mouth limps along
hiding ugliness inside it's words

pulling up this hood of verses
over both sides of the image

my frogged flesh is sitting out
the wriggling prince inside me

eyes bulging at the baying wolf
barking her beauty at my dreams

a candy house perfumes the wood
a child steps along it's crazy path

his tongue moistens his bitten lips
his teeth itch with old promises

inside the house the frog prepares
to catch himself yet another prince

and so my story ends in loves entrails
a piece of puzzle left over in the box.
