Where I Looked

Where I looked about me lay
Bodies, red, black and grey.
I tried to shout out loud, but
My mouth was very tightly shut.
I screamed entirely in my head
Wishing I could crawl to bed
And all around I could see Death
These corpses hadn't any breath.
Why was it me this happened too?
I am not bad, nor good, it's true.
But I would never want to kill
Even though I hate them still.
I looked and saw the gun in hand
And felt dread overcome the bland.
A hole I saw in every skull
And all the eyes registered null.
I killed them all, I know it now.
Murder most horrid, murder most foul.
If their respect had come to me
They’d be living, breathing, see?
I hate it when I’m treated bad
And now they’re dead, I’m very glad.
It was deserved, it's plain as day,
Those bodies, red, black and grey.

I screamed entirely in my head
Wishing I could crawl to bed
