Roof Tops

The patterns squared at the roof tops
Holding blankets of moss;
Broken in parts to its guttering.

The steel pots newly wed their clay holdings
Proud,
yet embers are signs of their arguments,
expelling friction and heat to winter’s day.

Lead flashing holds their base,
Supporting problems on rainy days.
Aerials twist their cables;
Separating a home –
Into a rotary of space
Loosening rusty brackets – shaken alive;
To dust
