When the days and nights run into one,
When it is daylight and you don’t see the sun.
When the moon is lit and the stars shine,
When life to you is no longer fine.
I’ve found a new love I heard myself exclaim,
But oh my sadness let me explain.
The love I have found is live and well,
It can’t be returned and sits idle in an empty shell.
I tell myself everyday,
I can let my love go astray.
Life is hard feeling an empty love,
Like watching the dying of God’s whitest dove.
I have forgotten how to be true to myself,
I am to no longer feel anything else.
I can not let anyone else in,
I can not love anyone other than him.
Although my body will age,
My life is stuck on this blank page.
But my love for him will never die,
It will rise up and live in someone else’s eye.
When it is daylight and you don’t see the sun.
When the moon is lit and the stars shine,
When life to you is no longer fine.
I’ve found a new love I heard myself exclaim,
