Katie Williams Interview
Feb 08 - Katie Williams no longer works for Elspeth Cochrane Personal Management
WriteWords talks to Katie Williams from literary agency Elspeth Cochrane Personal Management
What’s your background? Can you tell us a bit about the agency?
I’m Elspeth’s literary assistant. I studied English and Drama at university and did lots of work experience in theatres, production companies and agencies before I started working here. I also wrote myself when I was at university (plays mostly). Elspeth herself was an actress and a playwright and she set up the agency fifty years ago – when there were only 28 agents in London!
Who are your present/past authors?
We represent the playwright Royce Ryton, the biographer and critic Robert Tanitch, the writer F.E. Smith and the playwright Alex Jones to name but a few. We also represent actors, directors and designers.
What kind of work are you interested in at the moment?
