Ex- just about everything you can think of - merchant seaman, journalist, naval officer, solicitor - the writer in me had to remain repressed until at last, thank God, I was able to retire. Now, at 73, I think I'm fairly settled at last and writing all hours (when I'm not playing golf.)
My first novel, 'So Sour the Grape' (Amazon and other leading on-line booksellers, rrp £7.99) is a tragedy examining the hopelessness of the committed alcoholic and the helplessness of those who love them.
