Anna Reynolds has had 10 plays professionally produced in the UK and worldwide, including Jordan (Writers Guild award/ Time Out winner), Red (Clean Break Theatre Company), Precious (West Yorkshire Playhouse), Wild Things (Salisbury Playhouse), Look At Me (Theatre Centre/Mercury Theatre), Deep Joy (Mercury Theatre), Skin Hunger (Time Out Critics Choice, BAC) and most recently, Ring Road Tales (Watford Palace Theatre 2003) and Sweetie Pie (Menagerie Theatre Company, Cambridge Arts Centre and Latchmere Theatre London).
Her screen work includes Paradise (BBC2) and The Winding Sheet (Channel 4).
She has published a novel (Insanity, 4th Estate), short stories in 2 anthologies and a variety freelance journalism from features to reviews (The Times, Guardian, Observer, New Statesman, Big Issue).
She is currently under commission to Sgrin Wales for a feature film, to Menagerie Theatre Company for Blue Sky State, developed in partnership with the Mercury Theatre, to Pursued By A Bear Theatre Company for Loved, and to Genesis Opera Foundation for an opera libretto, Push, scheduled for Almeida, 2005.
Her creative writing teaching/residency work includes University of Essex, Arts Educational Drama School, Clean Break Theatre Company, Paines Plough, Mercury Theatre Colchester, and she currently teaches at Trestle Theatre Company.
